Brinkley Grove Primary School “Smiles of Success”

Our school offers an atmosphere where children are challenged in their thinking, strive for continuous self improvement and have the desire to be a life long learner. At our school, we believe that it is our responsibility to inspire all pupils to have high aspirations – to believe that they can achieve their dreams. We are all proud of our school, our inspirational children and their successes. Our dedicated and deeply committed team of staff work exceptionally well together to challenge and enrich our pupils.

Children in Need 2015

Brinkley Grove raised a total of £496.89! Many, many thanks to all who baked cakes for the event - they were amazing! A big thank you to all the staff and parents who helped organise and sell the cakes at breaktimes and after school. Many thanks also to everyone who bought the Pudsey wristbands!

Brinkley Grove lies within a growing housing estate in the north of Colchester and is within walking distance of Highwoods Country Park which includes 320 acres of woodland, open grassland, farmland, streams and a lake. Our school was the first and only Primary School built and opened by the Funding Agency for Schools in 1997. Brinkley Grove is now a Foundation School and we have secured a good reputation within our community as well as ensuring that OFSTED has judged our school as a GOOD SCHOOL. The latest inspection was in July 2012:

“Brinkley Grove is a good school where pupils achieve well both academically and personally…school leaders have established an ambitious vision for the school in which there are high expectations for staff and pupils.”
